You are clearing out old Vaal structures and linking rooms as you work your way towards Atziri, and each layout choice actually matters. Some Tier 3 rooms let you mess around with unique items or even corrupt pieces that are already corrupted, which is going to tempt a lot of players into gambling perfect gear.
